Ashish Sharma is an Indian Television and Film Actor. He made his debut on television with the daily soap Gunahon Ka Devta aired on NDTV Imagine's. He was seen in the title role in historical drama series Chandragupta Maurya that gained him much fame. He was last seen hosting the show Tujhse Naraz Nahi Zindagi on &TV. He is sporting long hair for the role, and even the long vermillion mark on his forehead has a back story. “The 'teeka' was brought to me by my mother. She has got it especially from a Ram temple from up north. My family is really happy that I'm playing Ram,” Ashish said in a statement.
He added: “I'll be sporting the same 'teeka' on the show. Though it was for authenticity, it's really important as it has now got a personal touch to it'.
The actor, who has also featured in shows like “Chandragupta Maurya” and “Rang Rasiya”, said that “as for my look, it's the perfect way that Ram should be.
It's got a royal and majestic feel yet it's so subtle that one can actually feel his calmness and serenity'. “Siya Ke Ram”, which is aired on Star Plus, presents the story of the epic Ramayana from Sita's perspective.

Gunahon Ka Devta aired from September 2010 to May 2011 on Imagine TV. The series was produced by Shyamasis Bhattacharya of Shakuntalam Telefilms. The story was set against the violent background of eastern Uttar Pradesh and marked the debut of television actor Ashish Sharma who became a household name.
Plot[edit]
The story is set in the town of Lallanpur in eastern Uttar Pradesh where a new incident of crime occurs every day and gun violence is common.
Gunahon Ka Devta
Avdesh Singh Thakur 'Bhaiyyaji' is one of the most feared people in Lallanpur but is also widely respected for his generosity and sense of justice. Among his admirers is Arpita Rai, the daughter of corrupt civil engineer Mahesh Rai. While she fears her father and brothers at home, Arpita is a carefree fun-loving college student outside home. She despises her father's corrupt practices and idolises Avdhesh who is the Robin Hood of Lallanpur.
The show follows the unlikely love story of Avdhesh and Arpita set against the devastating background of violence.
